FOR TALL RIDERS: DIY Highway Peg stretch at no cost.
I wasn't perfectly happy with my highway pegs. They were not as comfortable as I wanted.
Point is, I'm 6'6", and I felt the pegs were a tad too short.
What to do? I wanted a little more clearance (even an inch would do wonders), but without forfeiting the possibility of using my center controls with the heel when resting on the highway pegs and, above all, without having to spend a dime.
So, I noticed the plate on which they are mounted is not centered. The hole for the peg is higher than the holes that fix it to the frame.
So, I just took them down, removed the peg, flipped them over and reinstalled them the other face out, reinstalled the peg, which is now about 1" or so lower than it was. I'll test them and let you know.
