However, you are right-on regarding the fit issue. I've found that helmets are all different. Some are round, some are oblong, some are oval. A large isn't necessarily a large. I've bought 3 helmets on line, all large, and they all fit differently. I now know to find the brand and size I want locally and make sure it fits. I can then buy it online if I choose but normally buy it from the local shop unless they are really price gouging.

I've bout a few online but mostly to replace the one I've been wearing. Had two experiences buying models I had not used prior and in both cases returned the helmet due to a poor/bad fit.

Lesson is to buy online only that which you know will fit. It is a big money saver.
