Citrus cleaner works well, WD40 will work quicker but it is a solvent.

Took mine off of my '09 FXDC tonight. Came right off using the fishing line trick. Cleaned up the residual in no time with a little wd40 and a Scotch Brite.

I used a heat gun to get it hot then pulled it off. I used wd40 to get the sticky goop off left behind. There really wasn't much left.

Just in passing scotch brite is an abrasive material. Don't use it on painted surfaces with or without lube. If you doubt what I am say find an old piece of plastic and rub the scotch brite on it. Even lightly you will find scratches.

With as many cagers saying they didn't see it...after they killed a biker...

Why would anyone remove something that helps others see your bike at night?

Most times bikes aren't "seen" they are coming at the "blind" person. I haven't heard too many stories of bikes getting T-boned unless they are running a light and then maybe they get what they deserve.

A heat gun or hair dryer and some WD 40 worked for me
