Stop lights that won't honor bikes

VA is one. Had a riding buddy make a call on a light by his house. Tech met him at the light on his 1200 and adjusted it.

I put a 30 pound (strength not the weight) permanent magnet that I got from Harbor Freight (P/N 67156) on the frame of the bike just between the engine and the transmission in front of the front shock mounts. (It's a softail) I cut the cheesy little handle off the magnet; but the local stop light that never would change before, now seems to react like I just pulled up in a Peterbuilt . . . most excellent!

Stupid signals
Well, when I was working in Los Angeles, there was one signal on the corner where I worked that I had to run frequently.
I tend to get annoyed waiting for more than one change before going. I just look over my shoulder for the black and whites and proceed if none are in view.
I do like that Wisconsin view on the subject. 45 seconds seems reasonable to me.

I gave up trying the kickstand bit...
It never works for my bike. 2nite coming home the same light on a freeway exit failed to see things my way. Maybe 20% of the time I have to 'bust it', (legal here in Minnesota), sometimes it doesn't see cars either. I'm ready to have a nice friendly chat with LEO about our dilema when it happens. The kickstand trick hasn't worked for me at other lights too.

I do road const for a living, the traffic loops are usually installed in the center of the lane, there are almost always two usually three, with the smaller mass try going over the loops a little slower and in the center of the lane.If the road has been overlaid and the loops not raised the sensitivty of the loop is diminished then were SOL.
