Don't be so sure you will want a cruiser style bike after putting some seat time on the Buell.

Congrats on your bike and welcome to the forum . You got a great deal there , I hope you really enjoy it . Since you mentioned that you'd like to bob your bike but the kit costs too much , I thought you might be interested in this link . It looks more like just a stripped down Buell that a frame conversion , so the cost would be far less .

I don't like the newer Buell's all that much, but love the older ones like yours. I use to ride with a guy that had one and loved it. Seems you got one hell of a deal on that bike so enjoy it and keep it nice and you can get your money back out of it later or even more.

Congrats on the Buell, good buying @ $1,500...wouldn't mind a '99-01 X-1 Lightning myself. I like the "old" tube framed Buells.

yea if only i knew how to do that to a frame .. im bout to see if i can contact these guys and ask them how much they want to do that to my frame
