Default Help? Woman with a Clutch Issue.

I had a stroke. Can't hold up two wheels anymore. Went and bought a 2010 StreetGlide Trike FLHXXX. My left hand is still not very strong. I'm able to pull the clutch, but it's tough. Some say I should install a Muller Power Clutch 1130-0003. Others say I should get a hydraulic clutch. The Power Clutch is a much cheaper option. Any thoughts? Thanks!

MRC otta Vegas. I had to put one in when I got arthritis. Try this link.

Much more effective than the kit Harley sells.

And keep exercising. It will come back but only if you work it. Get a squeeze thingy, light weight, and carry it with you. Use it, a lot. It'll help.

The above is a link to a device that uses a spring and gears to help reduce the effort it takes to pull in the clutch lever. It costs around $90.00 or so. My best friend bought one for me after I had crashed on the 91 highway heading east at about 90 MPH or so. It helped me get back on the road on two wheels again much sooner than I would have been able to on my own. I hope that it can help you too! I also installed the MRC unit as well and between the two I was doing fine. After I regained as much of my hand strength as I thought was enough, I removed the AMP device and ended up leaving the MRC unit on the bike. Good luck with your recovery and ride safe out there!

This could be an option.

Looks like this may be just the ticket for you Lorrie. Never heard of it before but just did a quick google of it and it gets good reviews. Saw prices of around $100 plus install which doesn't look to be more than an hour of labor.

Your local HD may be able to get it for you and/or install it for you.

I'm glad you posted your question as I may need to look into one of these for either myself or the wife someday.

The auto clutch is much more expensive and seems like overkill if it's just an easier clutch you want.

It is an interesting product though. Read that it will void the HD transmission warranty but don't know if that's true or not.

I had no clue what it was since there's little info on the Revloc site. Found this review of it which gives a good overview of how it operates in real life:

The "MRC" item has been around for a long time, made by a number of differnent companies. White Bro's were the 1st company to make them. They are inexpensive around $30.00. I have used this type of device on all my bikes since 91, as well as these...

This combination works really well at reducing hand issues...

•No need to use your clutch lever
•More holding power than stock
•Bolt on applications for '90+ Big Twins
•Ideal for disabled riders & jockey shifts
•Harley & Metric Applications
