Yeah , sorry about that guys . I did mean Daytona helmets . I'm pretty sure they are as small and low fitting as you can get that are DOT approved . Well , other than maybe an expensive carbon fiber one .

Harley of Rochester, NH had the Vegas XTS helmets. I tried them on. Same mushroom head look that my Zox Alto old school gives me. Same with the daytona.

At the end of the day, no one makes a DOT half helmet that looks right.

I wear this Vega helmet and am really pleased with it.

I think it is pretty light, but the only other helmet I have or do wear is a full face HJC so YMMV.

+1 on the Vega XTS, good fit, no mushroom head here. I'm in the market for another one since the one I have is about 5 years old. For the price, hard to beat.

I like my HCI 100. HCI uses a different shell for each size. Not one large size with a change of foam.

Here's a couple of pics of my Daytona. It's not nearly as small as a novelty helmet, But it is much smaller than the half helmet that I got from the dealership. Both my Daytona and the Harley half helmets have the same 1" of protective styrofoam, but the Daytona doesn't have any of the soft "comfort foam" like the the Harley helmet has. Plus, the daytona helmet stays in place much better, and doesn't catch the wind and move back on my head.
