We have had 3 previous planned trips to the Dragon and weather stopped it. A hAlf dozen trips postponed because of "life".
We were do for a break.............

Let me know how it is, i never had a chance to ride it before i left NC!!! 135 curves in 11 miles boy! dont have your parts end up on the tree of shame! I'll be riding that bad boy when i get back home around NC in a couple years.

 

That's 318 curves in 11 miles!

 

Hwy 129 was mentioned by CBS evening news this evening in a feature on how dangerous our highways are. There was no reference whatever as to WHY so many people are killed on it. Typical misrepresentation from the same people who could do a story on the health hazards of canasta.

 

I didn't know anyone else recognized that canasta was a health hazard. Seriously the media only reports in a manner that portrays their point of view.

 

The Dragon is kind of like Sturgis. They are both way over rated. I guess if you're a Sparker it would be ok. I'll bet there are a lot of riders that think, "Can I drag my pegs or floorboards without crashing?"

Road is closed the Dragon is open from the south - did it last month. Be safe - I pulled over to help pull a full dresser out a ditch.

2nd the Cherohala just a bit more wide open so about a gear higher. Nice sweeping turns no super tight stuff.
