Talking Road Trip Dallas, Need some advice

I'm planning to ride to Dallas, TX.

What is there to do in the Dallas area?
Where are the "must see" places?
Good H-D shops in case I have a breakdown?
What areas do I need to keep my butt out of?

Thanks in advance.
Mike

Stay out of south Dallas, stay on the freeway and keep moving.
There is Strokers, ya gotta go by there.

Ditto on Strokers. Good burgers but no fries.
Several HD shops in all areas except south. I use HD of North Texas in Carrollton.
There is lots to do just depends on your tastes.

Fort Worth has the Amon Carter museum if your into photography. One of the best collections in the states. X2 on HD of North Texas, Loose Wheels restaurant/bar in Sherman TX and there is a HD dealer right near by. People always go to Dealey Plaza to see where Kennedy was shot and the six floor museum. A trip out to Arlington to see the new cowboy stadium. Thats just a few thoughts

It's flippin hot right now in Dallas during the day with temps close to and over 100 degrees, which means heat coming off road is a lot worse. Wear sunscreen, drink plenty of fluids, not alcohol, stay hydrated, and take a break every 2 hours or more! If possible, try coming into Texas early morning (around 5am) and Dallas area prior to noon to avoid the heat!
Have a safe ride

Kellers Drive-In on Northwest Hwy. $1.75 a beer, the best burgers in Dallas and old rickety tin roofs covering Harleys on one end and hotrods on the other. Enough room on the old creaky church pews for the first 10 people to sit, otherwise you are standing. Best place to hang out on Friday nights or anytime on the weekends. Very few expensive bikes with rear tires the size of tractors there.
