Will the odometer reading afect insurance claim?

Used to have an old truck that I insured as low useage. I think it was like less than 7500 miles per year. The insurance company sent letters periodically to verify the mileage. So I would say it could be an issue. Just have to man up and take your lumps if there are any.

I'm willing to bet the majority of claims get paid no matter what, after all, they are an insurance company. Whether they will continue to insure you and what your future rates are may change drastically. My agent told me they almost always pay, no matter what, but they don't renew with that customer. In addition, they log you into the top secret database for all other insurers to see, so you can bet the rates will be higher everywhere.

I just talked to an agent from progressive/Drive the other day. I used to insure my 07 RG full coverage because I hadn't paid it off. I claimed 2500 miles a year on it even though I average 10,000. The rates had doubled this year from $345.00 to $745.00 for my two runners. One minimal & the 07 full coverage. I asked him what it would cost me if I traveled 10K a year as opposed to 2500. Rates went up to $1200.00 a year! Gotta believe they'd look at mileage if you place a claim. That' why I run minimal on everything now, Just can't afford it. Like I said before, If I survive the crash I'll rebuild her or buy another used bike. If I don't survive, I really could care less!

So I wrecked my bike and it has over 70k but is insured as a low miles bike. Do I need to reset some how the digita odometer as the adjuster has not seen the bike yet or will the hihg miles not efect claim covorage. Its an 07 softail with full coverage by military insurance. Just a thought?
for lieing to the insurance company and attempting to comit fraud to get a lower rate you should get ****....maybe that'll teach people like you that honesty is the best policy
