Default python pipes?

the chrome consultant at my dealership says these are made by vance & hines but are sold through drag specialties, and that they sound better and DEEPER. does anyone have any experience with these pipes, and if they really do have a nicer, better sound that vance & hines pipes? thanks for any advice or input on this...

My wife's Heritage Classic has the Python Staggered Duals and I think they sound better than my V&H pipes.

yeah, i'm not making that up, that was totally his official title at the dealership. and i went to two dealerships - one in gladstone, the other in beaverton - and they both had "chrome consultants" there who are supposed to be the specialists in helping you customize your bike. but to be honest, the guy i talked with didn't know if 06 vance & hines pipes would work on an 07 dyna. he also recommended the pythons, but i actually like the look of the v&h big shots better. but i'll ultimately make the decision based on sound quality more than aesthetics. any knowledge along these lines would be really appreciated.

cool. is it true that v & h makes them, and they're just branded differently for drag specialties? so then they must use the exact same technology. i wonder what makes them sound better...

I had Python and V&H slip-ons on my 05 Sporty. The Pythons were louder and had an all around better sound than the V&H. And yest they are made by V&H. Look at some of the V&H ads and then compare them to the Python pics in Drag Specialities. Same bikes in the same position.

Yes, it's a much deeper sound. I love the V&H look on my bike, but I wish they sounded more like the Pythons.

Chattigre, these pipes ARE made by V&H for Drag. The only real difference is, the tips on the Big Shots are removeable and on the Pythons they are not. If I remember correctly there is a little difference in the baffle also. The Pythons also sell for about 50 to 60 dollars less than the V&H. Check out the link below, great price, free shipping and usually ship same day if they get your order before 3PM. Eastern is also a sponsor of this board and I try to support our sponsors. They have always treated me right.
