About 3 weeks ago I went to install rear blinkers but couldn't do it due to holes not lining up. While I was back there I wired the brake with a permanent ground wire instead of using the bolt as a ground (aftermarket taillight that someone else installed years ago for me). I also changed my button housings and horn to pc'd black and now the horn isn't working. I was riding home the other day and my speedo stopped working and the odometer is stuck at the same mileage and the dash doesn't light up. Any help would be appreciated as electrical isn't my strong point. Thanks!

 

When you changed the switch housing, you probably pinched a wire. Remove the switch housing and carefully inspect the wires. This is a common problem. When the wire shorted to ground (handle bar), a fuse blew, causing the other problems.

 

+1 on the pinch wire and fuse, had the same thing wrong on my bike when it came back from the dealer
