How come more bikers don't wear Doc Martins?

Ok, now trying to come off the hijack: My wife rocks her knee high Docs when she rides with me.

I wear the old standard Army issue boots from before they switched to the tan ones. Maybe it's because I had a bunch of old pairs of them but they are lightweight and durable and I've never had a reason to look for anything else.

I still have a pair of made in England Steel toe Doc's boots. They last forever. The first pair I had I got in high school (80's) and they lasted 10 years. I think I'll wear themtoday for my ride.
All kidding aside, you guys with your "gay" comments are beyond ridiculous. What's gay is bikers discussing what boots to wear on the internet. I am participating too. Oh well.

Got a pair of Justin's that say, "Made in China" so ya gotta check. This pair doesn't fit as well as the last pair, and those were U.S. made.

I'm just wondering because i've been ridin with them for years, but I've only met one other guy who does the same. I've tried on Durango, Harley Davidson, Red Wings, Milwaukee's, and my cowboy boots are Ariats..but i've never found a more comfortable boot to ride in then a pair of steel toe Doc's, and I've been wearing the same pair for 9 years. Is it because the 80's punk and 90's grunge scene or skinheads ruined the reputation of the boot with the "bouncing sole?" It's a great boot..hell, they were made famous by british cops wearin em'. Is it cause they have laces, or are only engineer and harness boots allowed to ride a HD? Anybody on here wear 'em?

I did not realize they were selling Chinese boots with their label now, These say made in USA on them, you got me worried and I had to go check, LOL. That's a shame because when I bought them I was replacing a pair of Redwings that paramedics had cut off of me after my accident and the Redwings that I was considering were made in China. The fact that the Justins were made in America and not the fact that they were half the price was the deciding factor in my purchase. They fit great and seem to be as comfortable as the Redwings. Oh and by the way, I think the yellow stitched Doc's are cool and I am glad that the OP has something that he enjoys to wear so much.

I used to wear Doc's. Not the 16 or 18 hole, but ankle length ones. My last pair I burned them up on my Fatboy with the thunderheader pipe. Now I wear my work boots. Since my company buys a new pair every year. I been wearing Carhart work boots. Very comfortable
