The Today Show.

RE: The Today Show.
I just saw the video on the Today Show website and it sounded like a general news feature like the type you see on Local stations with "Donnie and Donna DoubleKnit". Basically only half of the "Real Story". Yes it went into the importance of new riders taking the MSF course and yes Helmets for us new riders....But the reporter also interviewed an insurance agent who made motorcycling sound like diving into an empty swimming would be better than getting on 2 wheels. Basically let's try to scare the hell out of everybody so they'll stay home and never go outside again.
And one more thing the entire video never said a damn thing about how many automobiles were behind those fatalities. "Let's just try and keep America from owning their streets" was the main tactic. Just another bunch of crap from the multi-media owned corporations trying to use behavior modification to control the public thinking and our actions.... Sorry ABC, CBS, NBC but I ain't buying your load of crap.

RE: The Today Show.
That's the way the local noted the rise. They only said half of the accidents the biker's did not wear helmets. Not that 2/3 of the accidents were caused by the cagers. That's why I put little stock in their editorializing. Too ignorant and blurby to worth a damn.

RE: The Today Show.
I can't believe they put the blame on bikes. What about
the increase in cell phone ownership in that same 20 years.
And the use of Satilite Positioning. I think that the big
changes in the last 20 years is more excuses for cagers
to not pay attention. I see the story as bikers are paying
the big price.

I am amazed that people actually believe that ANY news show, paper, magazine, etc. actually even tries to get the facts. As far as I can see all they care about is getting the "scoop" first and are not about to let the "facts" get in the way of a story.
