Default new helmet search

I have a 1/2 Carbon fiber, and a 3/4 HD open face helmet. I have been looking for something in between. Found a HD cannonball on close out but not in my size. Have been looking online at NEXX X60 Air, Fulmer P1, and Nolan N30 and N20 models.

Would like feedback on any of these. I am also thinking of a Scala G4 for tunes, and Passenger Comm (Not planning using it for phone) so if you have that setup with helment that wouild be a plus.

Thanks

How do you like the carbon fiber? Have been wanting to get one but in all my travels can never come across one. Tired of ordering online and not getting a proper fit as I have an odd (egg) head. I guess I have about 8 or so helmets and will keep looking for a half/beanie in carbon fiber but now convinced in getting a full face for winter riding as well.

You've listed some nice lids.....but check out the HJC IS-2 half helmet.
It has a integrated sunshield that tucks up and out of the way inside the helmet.

I tried it and didn't like it. It would smash my ears down. The side come way to far down to be a half helmet. They also make that helmet for Harley too.

If you want a true half helmet with a hidaway sunshield try the GMAX helmet style GM55S.

http://www.g-max.com/gmax/gm55S.html

They also make a GM55 which does not have the little visor on the front but does have the hideaway shield.

I bought mine for $71 shipped

Have you tried the HD hybrid helmets? They have alot better fit than standard half helmets. Gives me the feeling of a 3/4 helmet with the advantages of the half.

Texas......
I know what you mean by it coming down on the ears. I noticed that right from the start.
I learned while putting it on to tuck my ears in......otherwise they would be flapping in the wind.
I did check out the G-max....that was my 2nd choice.
I realize the IS-2 is not a "true" half helmet, but it does give me some more protection from the sun with the lower sides and the ear covers.

Gmax is what I have. Nice fit. Drop the sun shield, if needed. Even with two of them in the tour pak, there's room for a couple light jackets, etc.

Default 1/2 carbon

I have the 1/2 carbon fiber that harley sells. Bought it in 2007. I really like it but i'm looking for one that covers ears and helps muffle some wind noise for my longer trips. I wouldn't give up 1/2 for most riding, but i do several 200- 500 (one way) mile trips a year I guess something between a 3/4 and a 1/2.

Thanks for the suggestions I'll look at them as well.
