It's been near 100 and humid every day for the past two weeks. Brutal. My nuts were in agony while riding last weekend. Not this weekend though - I got my new AirHawk inflatable seat pad and my new moisture-dissipating under-drawers. Now I don't care how hot and humid it gets anymore...
I bet it does help. I was on my dad's Sportster the other day, and that was my biggest complaint. The seat was literally kicking my ***. So you just strap the Air Hawk on your regular seat?

You got that right! Right after I made my post last night I Googled "Wicking Undergarments" and came up with all sorts of less expensive alternatives to LDComfort. Duluth Trading Company has their Buck Naked underwear, which contains no cotton and 6% Lycra/Spandex for around $22. I may give them a try.

Actually, you can just inflate it and lay it on your seat as it has an anti-skid bottom on the covering. It does, however, come with a pair of elastic straps that you run underneath the seat and then hook to the Airhawk.
The thing about the Airhawk is that you don't want it fully inflated. I found that the best way to use it is to inflate it, then sit on the bike and let air out slowly until it feels comfortable. Once you think that it's about right, take a ride and adjust again. Believe it or not, it will look like it's almost flat when you reach that comfort level, but it will more than double the time you can spend in the saddle.
BTW, I quoted the wrong post up above. I was replying to the person asking about how the Airhawk attaches to the bike!
