What all is done on the 25,000 mile check? And, am I gonna have to take out a loan to get this service done

 

Not sure what is done at 25000mi. service but if you have a dealer do it, it wont be cheap.

I paid $395 for my 1K service.For now on I'm doing my own with the help of a service manual.

 

Check your owners manual, save your self some buck and do it yourself.

 

I got such a great deal on my service plan!!! I see how much others are paying for services. The manual calls for service every 5,000 miles. Since it was bought in AZ, the dealer there recommends every 2,500 miles due to the heat. So, for $2k I get unlimited services for 3 years, unlimited mileage. I feel for you, bro. At the dealer, the 25k service is near or above the $600 mark.

 

Is the $2K for just fluid changes or does that include the scheduled maintainence?

 

Well, I know that I posted asking for tips about changing the fuel filter canister inside the gas tank which I know per my manual is done at the 25k mark. Therefore, you can put that on your list of what gets done. However, it seems that folks around here ditch their rides before they reach 25k because I didn't get any responses and it seems that everyone here has '06 and '07 bikes!!!

 

I get unlimited services as far as oil changes and such PLUS all scheduled maintenance for 3 years. Not bad, huh?

 

At my dealer for $2250.00 I got 7yr warranty plus lifetime service which is done every 2500 miles as long as I own the bike.

 

I think those prepaid service plans(if there is a time limit) might be good aslong as you ride the bike alot.
