Default Sylvania "Silver Stars" anyone?

I've heard some talk that changing out the stock OEM halogen bulb for one of the new Sylvania Silver Stars results in much better illumination approaching the performance of HID lights.

Have any of you made the switch, and if you have, is it worth the cost ($25-$30)?

Absolutly whiter...
Not so sure about brighter, though.

It's whiter as doc stated and it does seem somewhat brighter than my stock bulb.

It's worth the $25 I spent.

That was one of the first things i did. HUUUUGE difference in comparison. Definitely both whiter and brighter. Anything to help you stand out more to the cagers is worth it. $25 well spent!

I put one on my Night Train, definitely whiter, and it sure seems brighter! Either way a BIG imporvement over the stock bulb (which, funny enough was also a Sylvania, but not a Silverstar).

Cheers!

Switched to the SS 9003ST on my XL 1200R. Quite a bit of difference. About $20 at Advance Auto...
