Upgrading from stock H-4 bulb to SilverStar was one of the first thing that I did to my RK when I got her last year. (have since upgraded to H-D HID and upgraded the passing lamps to accept H-3 bulbs and installed the SilverStars in the Passing lamps. Great improvement too)

I put one in my 'train and love it, would not ride witout it now. My friends standard still has a stock bulb and you hardly know its on when we ride side my each. Well worth $$

Another satisfied Silverstar customer here. Friend has thos expensive Adjure lights and bulbs. I was always complaining and he was always laughing about his being so bright. He gripes now about mine and when we ride side by side , his are not nearly as bright as mine. Make sure you get the motorcycle version of the bulb. They also make the H3 version for the passing lights but since I still have the sealed beam versions, I don't use them. Bought mine for $18.95 at Advance AUto Parts. Should be about the same at any auto parts house.

So, then...does the bulb just say "Silverstar H4"? Is there a different # depending upon HD model?
(I guess they will have a parts book to look it up in)

RE: Sylvania "Silver Stars" anyone?
I looked at some Silverstars at advanced auto today and the lumans were different. One was a H4ST rated 65\45 for 25$ and the other was a H4ST and rated 60\55 for $20. So the bulb should be 65 on high beam and 45 on low and the other 60 on hi and 55 on low. These seem kinda low since several bulbs are in the 80 range and a few are in the 100 range. Are there any higher rated Silverstar bulbs then the ones I listed?
The Harley shop stock bulbs are made in Germany and one is rated 55/60, the other is called the performance bulb with the same 55/60 but is a whiteish/blue tint to the light.
Frankly all of these seem about the same brightness just with a yellow or white/blue light color. I seem to see better with the whiteish/blue ones.
