A Juicy Lucy at the 5-8 Club

5-8 is an OK Juicy, but it's NOT an original JUCY LUCY. That title belongs only to Matt's Bar. Best in the world.
Other runner's up include the Cardinal Bar off of Hiawatha, Adrian's Tavern on Chicago Avenue, and in St. Paul there is Casper & Runyon's Nook (theirs is a Juicy Nooky). All are pretty good, but none of 'em can hold a candle to Matt's Bar. And they serve Grain Belt on tap at Matt's, not Schlitz.
There is a newer place on Selby Avenue in St. Paul that I haven't been to yet called the Blue Door Pub, but I hear they do a mean blue-cheese stuffed Juicy.

Just rode down to the 5-8 Club in Minneapolis for a Juicy Lucy. Put 330 miles on round trip and it was awesome. Great weather all day. We took the "back-roads" scenic Hwy 23 and Hwy 61 from Duluth. Sweet ride if you are ever in the area.
This was our first experience with the Juicy Lucy and we picked the 5-8 Club which boasts that they are the original founder of the Juicy Lucy. There is a rivalry between the 5-8 Club and Matt's Bar over who actually founded the Juicy Lucy. Both claim the best Juicy Lucy. We tried the 5-8 Club this time and will try Matt's Bar next time.

I consulted the orange book as well and came to the same conclusion about who you are. I work tomorrow so I will be out. I think we are planning something next week. I will let you know.

Yes, but they serve Schlitz in bottles there.
