It's been suggested by a few forum members that I can quiet down my V&H Big Shots Staggereds by installing the Double Barrel baffles. (I have an '07 Heritage). I presently have their quiet baffles and it's still really loud.
My indy guy said he called V&H and said it's "not recommended" (no surprise).
Has anyone done this? Is there any modifications that have to me made to either the pipes or baffles to install the Double Barrel baffles in the Big Shots?
I'd appreciate any help I can get.

 

the pipes are the same. The chrome shield is the part that distinguishes these two. I've had both, and currently have the double barrels on my bike with the bss baffles. The double barrel baffles sound TERRIBLE. I liken it to someone farting with a paper a$$hole.

 

Those baffles will cause more back pressure which means you will have to reprogram your fuel management system.

 

If you want to open up that a$$hole, put some BCT QQ baffles in the DB's. Nice!

 

I had pretty much the same set up as you on my 03 Heritage. Frankly - I used to really enjoy setting off car alarms in parking lots with it.. so hell yes, those suckers can be loud.

Then I moved to Colorado - near Denver. I often ride into Denver, where the cops have a huge hard on for pulling over bikes for loud pipes... (never mind the ******** with their 800 watt stereos in their honda civic's blasting rap music). But I never got hassled because I just kept the bike and my urges to blast around town under control.

Don't wind her up too much, keep her tame and yourself under control. If you can do that you probably won't have any trouble.
