10 years is not long enough IMO.

 

When the story first came out I watched that video about a dozen times and came to the same conclusion the jury did. Now the PO in his statement said he was doing his duty and no apology, He is lucky he only got 10 years.

 

10 years for someones life in a wheel chair. And he shows no remorse for what he did. I don't know what kind of training he got but I sure don't think they trained him to shoot first and ask questions second. I have had an officer pull his gun on me twice in my life and am damn glad it wasn't this guy. I didn't have it coming both times and the gun was quickly put away and after questioning I was on my way both times.

 

unrepentant xxastard! That is the problem with many young cops. Give them a gun and a badge and they think they are above the law! COCKY!!!

I support law enforcement, but not gestapo actions from them!

I know that there are many good cops out there and many right here on this forum. BUT, there are also many who should not have a badge or a gun!

With some cops that act like this idiot, it is no wonder so many people don't trust cops. He lied about the "self defense" and would have gotten away with it without the video~!

How many more "perps" have been punished by bad cops before the advent of common cameras in cars?

I hope he is put in general population and has to defend himself daily while in prison.

His stupid actions have changed forever the life of that young biker!

 

A macho cop mentalilty and obviously poor training and a young man is a cripple for the rest of his life. Maybe his 10 year sentence will save some other kid from a Dirty Harry wanna be.
