I believe AD is "Accidental Discharge".

This cop got what he deserved. What is really agrevating is that he is out on bond pending his appeal!

"Might makes Right". The police have the power. The officer is obviously overzealous. Has he done this before? This will bear monitoring to see how long the perp serves.

F-him, throw him in GP. He'll be regrettin' it for as long as he's in...
Even cons have a code...and rules...

Agreed. But IMHO no prisoners should have any rights of any kind. Take away the exercise time and any other play time these losers have and make prison life so miserable that no one would ever want to go back. No phone calls and no contact with the outside world whatsoever. I believe in the old Devils Island kind of prisons where they are made to be so miserable they want to end it all. I'm all for chaining them to the cell wall, one ankle and one wrist, 23 hours a day. Maybe then they would be too tired to riot or mete out any justice to any other prisoner. After all, they are all the same level of scum.

...and cops should be the only people to have a gun. Ya, right.

If the city can prove he acted outside his training (training documents on use of force etc., written by his field training officer), he can be sued individually and the city can be released from the lawsuit, but we all know they will just pay an out-of-court settlement to avoid litigation costs.

Thank you. I was about to say the same thing.
