Dump that cat and richin up the AFR minimum[/QUOTE]
Truly the best and only solution. Send the header to fullsac (www.fullsac.com) for their cat removal. And, you've got to richen up the mixture, it's just too lean which makes it run hot.
My preference is a SERT and dyno tune from the dealer. Not cheap, but eliminates all that finger pointing later if something goes awry.
The other way to go is with a TTS Mastertune (also from fullsac)...this can be done without a dyno tune.
These two changes will make your bike run cooler, stronger, longer and you'll be a much happier camper.

As all of the post are correct if you still have a problem and especially in stop and go traffic you may want to add a crotch cooler to your list..until you put a barrier between you and that air cooled motor heat will always be a problem..and they look good and are very easy to install..

Won't work!
That is all you can get out of MOCO for cooling your 2010 off!
Not much air to cool when at idle and running slow or standing still,"in traffic on a hot day".
Dump the cat, richin up AFR, large oil cooler Jagg 10 row or better, Lanale or some kind of head,"Parade Fan".
When the cat is in the headpipe see Fuel Motto or Fullsac.
Synthetic oil will get you up past 300 deg for a little peace of mind over dino oil.
Header heat wrap on the cat area will keep some of that heat off your right foot until you get your mods done.
Don't trust that ambient air gauge, get an oil temperature gauge. If you can keep the oil in the 200-225 range in the wind and 240-250 at idle with the EITMS not kicking in all the time you should be ok.

I just dont understand that buying a new bike and you have to dump 1500 hundred bucks into it to make it run right Man those evos just look fine to me I would like to buy a new one but I will buy a used one so the previous owner has to do all the mods and they never get their money back

It's called the EPA. Only so much you can do with an air-cooled, large displacement motor.

This helps, but the cat is still an issue especially when you are stopped in traffic. Even with richening up the AFR and removing the lowers, the heat from the cat will eventually get to you.
