I'm sticking with the Chris Angel theory. Unless you see something I'm missing, those are spoked wheels on his bike, and that means tubes. We have to know if you find a screw in your tire Shovelhead, or if I'm on to something here.

I would see this happen quite a bit back in my PCP days.

Thanks

you better get a bell for a gift

Hey honey, I gott'a go out and get me some bells. What? No, I said BELLS...b...E..l..l..s!

I think you parked on an ionispheric-induced vortex in the earth's magnetic field. Its actully quite common. It will suck the air right out of a tire. Usually, however, it replaces the air sucked out with more....air. What you experienced was an anomoly of this naturally ocurring event. (I need a nap, now)

I think your air was just exhusted. How often do you change it?
Joking... just joking.

That is odd.

I think your air was just exhausted.

I'm going with Firehawk's answer.

You must have stopped at just the right place in the universe, you know, that place where unexplainable thing happen. Anyway, it's good you moved the bike when you did or the thing might have just been sucked right into the void. Your one lucky dude.

Don't bogart that j(*nt! Did ya stop for some paote tea?? LOL Just kidding, maybe it was a message from higher to keep you in that one spot for awhile. Any accidents happen further up the road?? That is some strange stuff.
This is my thoughts exactly. If the tire would not have gone flat, you and your GF would have gotten back on the bike and taken off. Whether there was an accident further up the road or not is irrelevant. You were not there, so the accident didn't occur. It wasn't your or your GF's time to go, and God (or whatever you call your higher power) kept you there to avoid the problems. Keep an eye on the tire nonetheless, but if you don't see the cause and it never happens again, I argue this is the answer.

The bell has to be given to you by someone that is concerned about your well-being. A fellow biker would be best, but your GF will work if you have always ridden alone.

Maybe the tire was a tad bit low and the 2 up on the bike broke the bead loose a bit and it just leaked down. You re-aired it and the bead re-seated.
