How many miles are on your 88 c.i.?

A little over 64K on my 04 RoadKing.
Top end gaskets and motor mounts went at about 29K and had to be replaced.
Cams had excessive and uneven wear at about 36K and had to be replaced. Dealer also replaced cam tensioner, oil pump, lifers, and all other associated items at this time.
At about 60K had a major leak in the inner primary and transmission issues. When the transmission was pulled apart it had excessive wear on the 4th and 5th gears as well as bearings damage. All parts had to be replaced.
Since I had an extended warranty all of the above repairs have been cover with just a $50 deductible (The extended warranty more than paid for itself with these repairs). BTW - All service work was done according to the published HD schedule with high quality, name brand oil.
While I love my RoadKing and 88" TC, I think my EVO engine was a better engine and more bulletproof than my 88" TC. I also think that my 88" TC will end up being more durable than my 96" TC. Just my opinion.

Maybe not. I've got 85K on an '08 Wide Glide, the stator was replaced because of a small oil leak where the wiring comes out of the primary and the front brake caliper had a piston sticking. I'm more than impressed with the durability of the 96" TC.
