what tool do I need to adjust my front brakes on the handlebars?
My dh was was putting chrome switch housings on my bike while I was at work the other day and for some reason he decided to rotate down the clutch and brake lever.. well I never told him to do that, I did mention that I thought they could be rotateded up a little bit, ( they never listen to what your are really saying) well anyway,, now when I am out riding and go to stop I rev the engine when reaching for the brake lever, this was not happening before I am thinking it has to be because of where the lever is now, he is in CA for work and I want to rotate them up but I cannot find the right bit to put on the end of the screwdriver,, what do I need? I think it is a torx bit.. thanks

Yup. You'll probably need a T25 torx bit (I double checked on mine for ya). Hope that helps.

Thanks so much, I think he borrowed it from the neighbor as he didnt have any torx bits, it seems like he is always needing one, SO, when I run errands today I am going to buy him a whole kit of them,, haha, and hopefully I can get my levers where they need to be.

Make sure you don't go cheap on Torx bits. A cheap set can really mess your bike up and cause a lot of trouble. Spend the little extra and save you and your dh some headaches in the future.

Sorry, but I jus have to ask. Judging by your moniker, I am assuming that "dh" stands for Dear Husband and not deadhead.

yes,, dear husband, or should I say saint,, ever since I got my harley I have had him doing something to it, I could never figure it out when he first got his why he had to change this and that,, but now after changing the tank, the seat, the switch housings, rear axle covers, front axle covers, handle bolt cover, pull back risers, chrome horn, chrome enricher bracket and **** etc,, I finally get it,, but now I got to stop as we have a mortgage to pay..
Oh,, and Semper Fi back at ya, my dh was a Recon Marine many years ago and I have a son in Pendleton right now ,, 3years in so far..

Sounds great. Thanks for having a sense of humor. I was in in 1971 to 1977. I worked on the A-6 Intruder in Cherry Point and Iwakuni, Japan.
