Argggh, what do you guys do during the rainy season....
Already over it...
rains everyday mid day.... of course, it dint rain during the morning or afternoon while working...
waits till its about time to be off work to start.
weekends, gotta get up at the asscrack of dawn....... to ride and hurry home... although.. i dont mind the rain, after i have gotten to where i need to be.... its going somewhere and getting wet before hand i just dont like...
dont tell me to sac up or anything...
I am talking about pleasure riding.. not riding for need...
I will ride in the rain if i have too, i just choose to not if i dont have too..
I dont care what anyone says, it is not enjoyable to ride in the rain...

It rains in the desert too.
If we have a planned ride, and it happens to rain, we just put on the gear and keep going.
Most of the time we don't pull over until it's too late - keep going thinking it will end in a few minutes, then we get soaked. Rain gear doesn't do much good after you're already wet.

I live in Seattle. We only have two seasons.....Raining & less raining! You can't possibly have as much rain as we see.....Like my sig says, "The read between the rains." Enjoy the read!

It doesn't "rain" in Florida. We have thunderstorms (that spawn lightning and sometimes tornadoes) almost every day. Lightning capital of the US. What you have in Seattle we call sunshowers here.

I do most of my riding at night during the hot Texas summers...but if I do ride during the day, a shower is a welcome thing.

Personally, I just get wet. If it looks like a long one, I gear up. But you are correct, it is not pleasant to ride in the rain. But I look at is as a test, like I view most things, and if you give in and take the easy way, it makes you weaker. I ride almost every day, wx regardless. I use the truck if I have too much to carry, won't fit on the bike, or if I have others to transport. I dont expect passengers to adhere to my admittedly extreme view. Wife rides recreationally only, she won't leave the house in the rain, but if it rains while were out, she gears up and hunkers down to the work at hand. Can't be any other way; if your primary transportation or primary recreation is an open vehicle, being wet, or hot, or uncomfortable in ways the cagers cannot comprehend is part of the territory.

I put on the rainsuit and hope the lightning doesn't get too close...I have had thunder within a second of the flash that made me nervous, and wha really gets me is the flashboom....
