Default Flame Job

I'm currently in the process of getting my bike painted. my father-in-law is doing the paint, and has talked me into doing what he calls old school flames, he keeps calling them tipped flames, was wondering if anyone knows what they look like or has pictures of them? I think i have an idea but want to make sure before he goes and paints them on. kinda like a pinstripped flame right?

Whatever he does, make sure the graphics are outlined. Otherwise they look like ***.

thanks for the pic..changed my mind real quick. I was thinking it was more of outlined flames, kind of ghost but still distinct. base color is plum crazy and he was going to do silver into black flames.
Here's what he's done so far, the bottom of the fenders are fogged. the pic is blurry but the paint looks great, looks like a mirror.

The quality of the job will probably depend a lot on the quality of how his daughter is being treated. Just saying, not trying to flame you or anything.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of flames (or skulls for that matter). The problem is that they have been done to death (no pun intended with the skulls). Tribal is catching up quick with over-done. While flames, skulls, or tribal paint can; and often do look good, I would much rather see a personalized, one-of-a-kind paint job. I like to see a little originality in the paint scheme, not just another bunch of flames or skulls...seen it. JMHO

I am old school and I would love old school flames on my Deuce (tank only) just don't want to spend $1500 to get it done.
