HD Dealer "Stone Mountain" Closes
Open one week closed the next; no warning, no phone calls, nothing! Obscure note on window says they moved to Conyers "Granite Mountain" to better serve its customers. Funny way to do biz but I guess they were able to keep employees up to the final moment that way. The area it served was well over a million people; strange that number of people could not support a dealership. I never used the service department but I have bought several things there.

Stone Mountain and Granite Mountain consolidated to the Conyers location. Service department is good, no issues that I know of. This was a pure business decision and seems to be working out well for them based on my recent visits.
If you go there they will take care of you.

The (sprawling) Atlanta Metro area has no shortage of HD dealers, so I'm not surprised to see them consolidate locations like that. I have two dealerships within a half hour ride of my house, and I live way outside the perimeter. Within an hour's ride I can think of four more dealerships. Harley's are luxury items, and the economy is tough.

Wow, you guys are spoiled! Closest dealer to me is over three hours away. Closest in my state, four and a half hours. Where I bought my bike is six and a half hours away! Yeah, I live waaaay out in the sticks. Its not the "middle of nowhere", but you can see it from here! LOL!

I purchased my bike and quite a few parts from the Conyers location. They have always been very friendly and helpful.
I purchased my sportster from them under, what I believed to be, the trade in for full price within a year on a big twin program. Turns out the salesman at the time didn't know the promotion wasn't running.
Conyers dealer honored the deal anyway, even though the salesman had quit. They just took my word for it as a customer. I really appreciated that. They certainly didn't have to do that.
