Default "Chroming" plastic?

Did the search but could not find a definitive answer.

Does anyone know of a place where I could send some plastic parts and have them "chromed"?

I know it's not the same as chroming metal but rather a shiny chrome-like coating or finish which is all I am after.

Anybody have a source?

Thanks in advance for the answer and hopefully for sparing me the answers that really have nothing to do with the question.

Do a search for spray on chrome...

Some one posted a thread a week or so back about it. There are systems which include special spray guns, turn tables, washdown units, etc. Probably have to send part in to be done unless you want to start a business. Cost of equipment would be kinda high for small occassional jobs. There is also a "Magic Chrome" Paint that you can use with regular paint guns here... http://www.sprayonchrome.com/magicchrome.html , affordable for the DIYers.

Actual chrome is only able to be applied to a metallic surface like steel or aluminum because it's based on electrical conductivity.

Your only choice is the spray-on chrome. I watched some vids on the process several weeks ago. Google "spectra chrome".
