I only put Shell gas or Exxon gas in my bikes with the 93 octane. Out of the 2, I like the performance I get out of the Shell gas, but my buddy say's that his bike runs better with Exxon gas.

It may be overkill but I only dump name brand High Test in my Harley when I have the choice...preferably Sunoco.

When I'm on the road and dont have a choice......any sighting for gas is a welcome one..

I use name brand, try to get it at the same place all the time if I can. You never know how another place takes care of their equipment, so I go with what has worked well in the past.

Another thing to remember about octane is that the labels are the minimum octane rating, if you put in what you think is 87 or 89, you could be getting 91 or 93 and they don't have to tell you. A friend used to own a mobile station, and he said all the time that they would deliver and only have high octane available, he would put the high octane in the regular tank just so he would not run out before he could get another delivery.

I always try to get gas at Sheetz, but as long as it's a well known store I will go there if no Sheetz around.

All we can get it SE Kansas is 91. My bike seems to run fine whether it is a name brand or independent.

I used to run nothing but 92 chevron. Then I found a gas station called Wilco that sells 92 octane, unleaded - with no ethanol added. Its old fashioned premium gas, about 4 cents more.

Point is, BP sells a lot of gas to other companies. So even when people think thay are buying only one brand, truth is you are all buying the same gas.

I get gas when I need it. I don't really care the brand. Gas is gas to me. But I do get gas whenever I eat out. Must be all the crap restaurants put in food.

At home I always go to the same place. A real service station owned by a friend of mine that pumps a lot of premium. He's in a ritzy neighborhood and has lots of customers that require premium. He's also a BP station, but I don't think he caused the spill? I want fresh gas. When on the road, I look for the busiest station hoping that that may help prevent getting water in my tank?
