I too have plugged several motorcycle tires and rode without problems. Then one day, my riding bud picked up a nail in his rear tire.

We plugged his tire with one of the top of the line plug kits and resumed our trip.

We had gone about 40 miles further on the interstate and the tire began to come apart. I was riding behind him and bits of rubber started sticking to my windshield and then the tire went.

He rode it like a bucking bronco for about a 100 yards and managed to keep it upright.

Plug it if you feel lucky. I will never plug another motorcycle tire again. Sure it was only one time out of more than a dozen I have plugged...but that was enough for me.
