Yeah, if I had an extra $30K laying around, I'd go for either a Bomber or a Dark Horse. I like the Indian fenders - I'd actually like to have a Harley Cossbones with some bigger fenders - at least Heritage style, if not Indian style. Looks-wise, I'm not impressed by anything that looks more modern than about the early 60's. Also a fan of the brown leather seats and bags.

The original Indian Co. went bankrupt in 1953. In 2006 the newly-formed Indian Motorcycle Company, owned largely by Stellican Limited, a London-based private equity firm, announced its new home in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

The big Wig-Wam closed in 1953. Shortly thereafter a company tried to re-badge Enfields and Velocettes and sell them as Indians. After that a company was using NOS spares to build new "Indians." My kid brother had a Taiwanese dirt bike in the '60s that was an "Indian." There was a couple of Indian restorations using aftermarket Evo (or Evo type) engines. And we have the latest Indian iteration.
Nice enough bikes if that is your style. Long, long before I would consider shelling out the kind of money "Indian" is looking for, I'd plop down less for a mint post-war Chief or Roadmaster.

If they remain a very small and very focused company, they just MIGHT make it this time around, damned be the econmy.

It's nothing but an overpriced Harley clone, with Indian-style fenders. Indian went out of business in 1953, still trying to sell bikes with flathead engines, and they ain't NEVER coming back.
