I just got home after a great weekend in Indianapolis. We left Friday afternoon and rode to Bloomington (about 170 miles) - visited with our son, got up Sat. morn and began the poker run at Bloomington HD - very nice ride through some nice rides in southern Indiana - 10 minutes of rain but otherwise just hot. Music, bike show, silent auction, good times.
Today was the actual Miracle Ride. Somewhere around 9,000 bikes. The Governor of Indiana led the ride. Bob and Tom (of the Bob and Tom show) were the emcees. We had a police escorted ride through Indy, rode past Riley childrens hospital - if you can ride by a group of children who are being treated for serious, sometimes life threatening conditions, but who still manage to smile, clap and cheer as the bikes go by - if you can do this without a tear coming to your eye, you are a hard dude indeed.
The ride ended at the Indianapolis motor speedway where we took a lap around the track. That was pretty cool.
A great ride and a great time. Best of all - the ride raised over $250,000 for Riley Hospital. Amazing!
