There are a couple of threads on here where the guys were talking about them. They seem to fit people that might have a more oval front to back head than something like a Bell that may be better suited to a rounder head type. I know the bell's that I have had in the past ended up giving me a sore spot in the forhead after wearing them for an hour or more. The vega does not get uncomfortable at all.

+1 on the vega XTS. I have tried 7 different 1/2 helmets including the ACC which has been recalled and is no longer DOT approved. The lowest profile and best fitting helmets I have tried are the vega XTS and the Daytona skull cap. according to Daytona's website they make the lowest profile DOT approved 1/2 helmet.

the main difference between the vega dna the daytona is the shape. the vega is a longer and more narrow oval shape, while the daytona is a more rounded oval shape. So i would saypick the one that best fits your head shape. Both about the same price as well.

I wonder if they make helmets shaped like a football for those extreme hangover days.

I wear the HCI. They use a different size shell for each helmet size. Many helmet makers will use just one or two shell sizes and just change the thickness of the foam. I added a larger visor to help with the sun shade.
First 2 pics -beanie helmet. 3rd and 4th pics are the HCI.

They don't know the company name either (or won't say) . However they did tell me that they are very similar to the Daytona only maybe even a bit thicker as our DOT standard here in Canada seems to be a little different from the U.S. "they say" . All that being said , if the Daytona is as thin or even thinner than the one I just bought you'd be hard put to get a smaller legal helmet other than an expensive carbon fiber one maybe . I hope this helps .
We're probably not far from each other. I'm in Ottawa, but go to Hawkesbury for my HD needs. I got my Road King from Goulet HD, as the dealers in Ottawa are not the easiest or best to work with.
