loud pipes ?

How many times has everyone heard the saying "If it saves one life it's worth it". Well, one life saved is better than one old crabby fart that didn't get to bi+ch about a loud pipe that made him mad for a total of 2.375 seconds as it passed by.

until you work the night shift and have to ride home at 2:30 and some drunk guy doent hear you and crosses into your lane and runs you off the road... Id rather crack my throttle and be a neusense then get killed.

I chose SE slip on pipes for my Rocker. California is broke and they keep trying to pass a bike smog law.
They keep going after what they see as a small number of voters too small to make enough noise (pun intended to) to fear getting re-elected.
Once all the small money is made, who will they go after next?
That's why only bikers are effected by this now.
They fear how people will react once they know they are coming after them next.

I don't believe "cracking" the throttle is going to do much good in your drunk driver scenario? Do you really think that a drunk driver will be able to determine what or where that sound is coming from in time to prevent the head on? You'd probably be better off using your reaction time for evasive maneuvers instead of blipping your throttle?

How about those guys texting? girls doin makeup? people eating? ... cracking the throttle to wake em up can save your life... sometimes "maneuvers" don't work.

i've lost count of the number of times I've seen deer along side the road at night. A quick blip of the throttle has them high tailing it back into the woods or across the field. Will it ever prevent me from a bike/deer collision? Who knows for sure, but the loud pipes have helped so far.
