Man, if someone was gonna ruin your day, I'd look at the valve stem being sliced...just saying.

Yep, ruined plenty of tires in my life driving around new home construction sites...drywall screws are amazing...

I cant tell you how many hours I spent picking up for at the Airline I used to work for. Pushing the billygoat, driving around with Equipment with magnets on the front of them and generally just walking wround picking crap up.

I found a couple of screws like that on the rear of my car tires twice. For a while I thought someone was placing them there. I could not figure out where they were coming from for the longest time.

One day I was visiting my storage garage, and happened to look down and see these types of screws laying around the driving area of the storage facility. The screws are the same metal ones that they use to hold the storage garages together.

Case solved, and now have to take a quick walk through the driveways of the storage garage to be on the safe side.

Most vandals aren't going to take that kind of time. They likely would have just stuck the tire with a knife, ice pick or such, and split. I'd say you picked it up on the road.
