Memorial Day
On this "Decoration Day", which is how my folks sometimes referred to it, please remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to America.
The day's theme of gratitude and humility, with quiet pride and awe for their sacrifice, belies a reality that too many Americans miss: their sacrifice will have been in vain unless we make it worthwhile every day in countless ways, large and small.

Rode into DC for Rolling Thunder yesterday. It always moves me big time. Thanks to all fellow Vets and those serving now. Freedom isn't Free.
