The 135 db is taken at about 4 inches from the horn, reality is about 110 to 115 db from about 15 feet away.

Yup, big horns ain't gonna fit on the bike. I have a set on my Avalanche.

Although I am also looking for something to add to my Ultra.

that's what I just put on about two weeks ago the Wolo Bad Boy. Had to use it Friday on the way home from work, almost scared the young cell phone talking fool right off the road, lmao.

This.

I have a metalarts twin trumpet style as seen in photo...

For my bike, w/ the retro look I wanted, this was the nicest looking trumpet one on the market, IMO. If you're looking for different looks, they also have skulls and even an oversized cowbell, just like Harley's but bigger for MORE horn. You can find their products from customdynamics.com a little cheaper than other stores.

For other looks, propad who makes the Mini Beast has a whole line of options now, and many of them look very cool, much better than earlier models, IMO. And I think they're a little deeper/louder than what I have.

Other than that though, while mine are a little higher pitched, the horn DOES work, and HAS helped get people's attention, to keep them from harming me and my friends, to keep them from forcing ME to avoid them, and to let others know how displeased I was w/ their behavior at the time.

I have a relatively late model car, w/ a decent sound system in it, and even just chillin in the car, w/ windows up and a little music, it's sometimes hard for me to hear a siren / buzzer / air horn from some emergency vehicles. I usually am very in tune w/ my surroundings and know they're there, but I'm just saying, on sound alone, they have to get fairly close to hear them well sometimes, so a small airhorn on the bike is not the single best defense by any means, but every little bit helps, and I'd say mine has helped me many times, and it's more chrome...so there you go.

Loudest I found are 139 decibels, but I don't like the tone. Sounds like a VW on steroids. I wan't people to panic like they just cut off an 18 wheeler when I hit the horn button.

Thanks

Do cars have air horns? Not mine, and they're loud.
I mounted 2 FIAMM Freeway Blasters (hi and low tone) on my Ultra and they're loud too and get people's attention. They cost less than a Stebel or similar air horns, they're smaller and they work perfectly. My advise is to add a relay to the wiring.

Metal Arts Trumpets, Can't remember the db rating but it scares the crap out of people. Uses the 2 stock wires for install, compressor is under the cover.
