Default Handlebar Buzz

I've been putting up with it for the few weeks that I've had my bike but now that I'm planning a somewhat long trip (about 400mi there and back) I've got to do something about my hands going numb from vibration. Can anyone recommend specific gloves, or type of gloves to help me out?

I have Olympia gloves (perforated with a gel palm). They help some.
I put on new softer and larger grips w/ a throttle rocker thingie...that helps some.
But in actuality, the only thing that REALLY helps is when I remember that the handlebars seldom need me, I relax from my shoulders to my fingertips, let go of all the tension and enjoy the ride. Best wishes, Art

Make sure your arms are not stretched. Sometimes on bikes with drag bars, folks have to totally extend their arms and the shoulder joints cut off circulation. If it is just vibration, the gel gloves will help.

It has stock bars and my arms aren't overstretched. I guess I'll give the gel gloves a try.

Art, what grips did you go with? I was looking at the Kuryakin ones with the trottle rocker but am not sure.
I don't want to go with the trottel boss that just straps on.

Just wondering

I can understand if you don't like the look of the Throttle Boss but it is the best 10 bucks I spent - It does seem to help and you can re-position to see where it suits you best - You may want to try it or something similar before you commit to new grips - Just my 02 cents - Good luck with whatever you decide

Have you tried different bar locations? Sometimes you don't have to move them far to get the most comfortable position, just a suggestion you might try.

Those are the ones I got. One nice feature is that their version of the "throttle rocker" is on the far outside and you can ride w/o touching them, but you have to work on it. BTW, if you ever decide to adjust your bars, re-adjust your throttle rocker, if not, you may do what I did. I found out just exactly how much power my bike had shifting into 2nd gear. Wuite a frisky imp. No crotch rocket, but with the stage one, she sure pinned me back in the seat. Funny thing was it took me a minute to figure out why I super-accelarated. BTW, I think they look great, they feel real good and I like them a lot. Art
