Critical Fasteners Question
I've checked the manual, and this may be a dumb question but when you tighten the
critical fasteners (fork pinch bolts, axle nuts etc.) should you loosen them first and
then bring them up to the specified torque? Thanks for any help!

No need to loosen them up first...that might not be the best thing for the fasteners that have loctite on them. Just set the torque wrench to the specified torque and try to tighten the bolt with it. One of two things will happen...either your torque wrench will click, or the bolt will turn a little and then the torque wrench will click (assuming you have a click type wrench). That's all that's needed. I'm in the middle of going over mine as I'm detailing the bike. So far, I've only found one banjo bolt on the abs module to be a touch under spec. Good luck.

If a loctited bolt moves it aint loctited. not saying i would go to the trouble of removing it cleaning it priming and reloctiting but that is what should be done to make it right.
