Looking to rent a bike while in Vegas.

Looking to rent a bike while in Vegas.
I'm thinking about renting a bike for a day while in Vegas during the month of October. Just wondering if anyone has any input on the area such as traffic, road conditions, places to go, etc. I was thinking about going to the Hoover Dam. Are they very accomodating for bikes? Also how is the dealer to work with on rentals. I believe Las Vegas Harley is the one to rent from and closest to the strip where I'll be staying.
Thanks

lvhd will get you taken care of. Make sure you rent way in advance. You will be surprised they sell out alot of the year. their are plenty of rides around here. Valley of fire, Red Rock, Lake Mead, Hoover Damn, a 5 hour ride to Oatman, Plenty to see.

I rented from www.eagleriders.com last November when I was there. Took the bike out the Valley of Fire state park. Was amazing, I wanted to hit the hoover dam too but ran out of time. eagle riders did not require a $1000 depositup front, they just took your CC info in case anythign happened.

I rented a Fatboy from L.V.H.D. back in 2003....they kept a $1000.00 deposit on the bike (via C.C.) and they DO have a helmet law in Nevada so either rent a helmet from the dealership or do like me...dust yours off and bring it along. They gave us a high-lighted map that took us past Hoover Dam and beyond to some wide-open roads in the desert. I had a BLAST and the Dealership was very accomodating. I'd do it again!

I rented from LVHD two years ago...set me up on a sweet looking gold RKClassic! Rode into Red Rock, beautifu ride, then to Hoover Dam..cool. I am returning in January 07 and lookig for suggestions on where else to go...heard Valley of Fire was cool. How far is Valley of Fire and are there any better ideas? Also, I am renting from Eagle Rider this time and saving some money due to their prices but also saving an additional 10% because of HOG MEMBERSHIP!
