I've just returned from my weekly meeting (local HOG). Today was a very nice day for riding, sunny (it has been raining real bad almost every day) and fresh... It is 1.21 am local time...

I don't know about HOG chapters in the US but here in Mexico we "have" to sponsor a charity organization as part of the main HOG objectives. We sponsor an organization called "Mi ultimo deseo" (My last wish) they are children in terminal stages of cancer, this is point of no return... Next weekend several girls from that home are turning 15 years old, there is a huge thing sort of tradition in Mexico about girls becoming "young ladies" at 15... This particular young ladies will probably be living the last birthday of their life.

So, we are throwing a party for them in our local HOG meeting point (a bar called "35 Interstate") the girls are going to be brought in a limo to the bar, the bar is paying for half the party and the HOG pays the rest. We will escort the limo with the bikes in a city tour ending up in the 35 where we are going to take each and every girl for a ride.

Man, it is just hearbreaking getting to know this kids and get attached to them since they are so grateful and charming... but in the end it is for just so little time... I guess it is worthy trying to make those final days happy ones, ain't it?
