Well i went and bought the bike trailer I seen in town. Going to pick it up tomorrow. Will probably be next week before I get the hitch installed and get pics of everything hooked up and loaded to post tho.
It's just like the 8th trailer down here http://www.nomanco.com/trailers/mas.htm
except mine has the black sidewalls with Harley logos. Polished aluminum diamond plate to coincidently match the bike! Lol.
Damn nice little single place and he had ramps made for your feet in case you accidently stop midway up the ramp.
Sells for $1500 on the website, getting it for $800. Deal??

A deal? That depends on how often you will use it. Maybe after you get moved you could sell it for the same or more than you paid for it. Then it will have cost you nothing.

Got the hitch installed and everything hooked up. Had to move the bike back 8" to get 155lb tongue weight.
I have to admit it tows far better than I expected.

Looks great ! Btw, once you get settled in, do yourself a favor and change your drivers license and plates over to TX We have no grace period that I am aware of and the DPS can be really **** over some truly stupid chit when they want to be. Oh yeah, when you come down I-35 from the Dallas area, the construction zone at the south end of Hillsboro, TX is a real trick bag for the unknowing with a trailer because of the screwy lane transitions ! Watch your speed as the pavement heights change several times and you will have the trailer wagging it's tail if you're not careful ! Have a safe trip.

Nice rig. Should pull nice. I use a Lexus RX-350 (270HP) with a single bike (SG) trailer and it pulls just fine.

It was easy actually. I got everything loaded like it was ready to roll then I let the hand crank trailer jack down in the front and unmounted the trailer from the car.
I took my bathroom scale and placed it on a 2X12 just below the trailer tonue where the ball goes. Then I put a 2X12 on top of the scale to distribute the weight on the scale. I then took a wood working bar clamp and adjusted the opening to where one end sat on the scale and the other end was right where the ball goes. Then I cranked the trailer jack down so the tongue was the only thing weighing on the scale.
Before moving the bike back I had 217lbs tongue weight. The hitch specs call for 200lbs max. I got it down to 155lbs just moving the bike and wheel chock back 8".
It may be even lower now that I welded tabs on the back of the trailer to haul my motorcycle/ATV jack. I drilled a hole thru the tab and the jack so I can lock the jack to the trailer with a simple hitch reciever lock.

I tried swerving mildly at 60MPH to see if I was going to have a sway problem. Not at all dissapointed with how it handles. I'm still suprised the Caddy doesnt even noticeably squat.
