Default Buttonless FOB

My 07 Roadster security system is acting up. The blinkers will flash when I try and start it up..nothing happens, then if I cycle the ignition several times it will start. Other times it will start normally. The system has never been "PIN'd" and if I try to enter a PIN I don't get the proper responses. The FOB battery has never been replaced. I will replace the battery, though it shows 2.75 volts. Any suggestions? Can the security system be "turned off " permanently? I wish there wasn't one installed in the first place.

It's not seeing your FOB. Replace the battery in it.

If you bought it new, call the dealership and ask them what the pin is. They usually set them all the same and something simple like 12345. Then check your owners manual on how to change it. That way you won't be screwed if you loose your fob or the battery dies while your out.

In this case I agree with the others that it's the battery in the fob.

Check your owners Manual, mine wrote the code in there, then gave me instructions on how to cha nge it once I got home so only I knew it.
