Default Do I really need to wait to 1000 miles to dyno tune?

Hey everybody - I'm super excited to do a Stage 1 upgrade on my 2010 FLSTFB and have it dyno tuned. But I have a question. Do I really need to wait to 1000 miles? I understand break-in, but 1K seems excessive. The lead tech at my local dealer quoted break-in and the fact they would make multiple runs @ WOT to RPM limit. I say "So what?" As crazy as this sounds, with 3 little boys, Little League, Kiddie Soccer, Boy Scouts, and a super short commute to work, it might take me another several months to roll 1K.

If it were my bike, I would wait. They run the crap out of it on the dyno. Lemme have it for a couple of weeks, I would easily put 1000 miles on it.

Get about 500 on it and it will be fine. Make sure and change the oil before the dyno tune.

My mechanic breaks the EFI bikes right in on the dyno, they have to remap before bike can leave the shop. The carbed like mine 1000 mi. like i did, the old fashioned way.

You need to schedule a little one on one time with your bike.......
