My limited was dynoed w/255 cam, tuner, and full exhaust before I took delivery. it now has 5k on it. no problems yet. I guess it is to each his own.Just like some do their own mantinence. However I think the dealer should do the big ones, 1k,then every 10k afterwards. My 2 cents

When I picked my bike up they told me not to do performance mods until after the first 500 miles. Should be safe after that the way I interpreted the instructions. I didn't change exhaust/remap until 1000 miles, but that took me less than a month...here. If I was in Texas I probly would have hit 1000 in the first week.

That's too bad. Sounds like you need to save some time for yourself. I've got three pretty active kids, but I still keep some time for me.

If you have a good tuner, i would let him break it in on the Dyno.

Take a day off work and don't ell anybody. Say you're taking the bike to work and will be working late. Come back that night with your 1k miles (well maybe not 1k, but you can get some miles in a 10-12 hour day.) Problem solved!

Wait until 2500 because your engine will change a little bit and you might have to tune twice. I did mine at 1000 and you could notice the tune flattening out over the next 2-3000 miles. By 5000 I re-mapped.

I'd wait till you get around 7500 miles on it. Dyno's are notorisly hard on your rear tire, and you should be close to needing a new one by then. Besides, it doesn't sound like you really have time to ride it, so what's your hurry?
