I agree with Watch Guy. I have vivid black and scratches show up, so I went with a tank bra. Looked good. After a ride in the rain I took the tank bra off to insure that it would dry properly. The backing on the tank bra works ok, but the edges don't have any protaction and mark up the paint after a while due to the vibration.
they will mark your tank rub the clear down and leave a white hazy cloud in the the paint. Try getting a roll of auto tint at an auto parts store and cut patches out to fit your needs. have done that for a few years now, they stay on till you take off, mine goes up about 6 in on the sides about 4 inches wide, done in two pieces as the tank is curved and it won't lay flat. I made a template and cut a few and leave in my bags if I'm on a trip.
