I really like Mequiars Gold Class. Used it for years and works for me well. Tried that Blue Ice a bit ago and just didnt do it for me. Was real easy to use but just didnt have the body to it to clean off the paint very well.

For years now my preference has been after bike is washed and dried, is a cleaner wax, followed by silicone free Carnuba. All my products come from Griots Garage

I've been using Zaino for the past ten years, best stuff I've ever used, and their Z-8 detailer is unbelievable. Here's some photos from their customers. http://www.zainostore.com/

It isn't a wax (it's a polymer sealant) but I vote for Zaino also.

They have plastic polishes for things like the windshield (if you have one), a mild polish, an all-in-one (polish and protect in one step), and a couple different LSP (last step products) and a couple different spray detailers.

I have used this for several years on my cars and bikes and it lasts much longer than regular waxes and is very easy to apply and remove.

You can also layer the LSPs so that you can build up the protection unlike putting on multiple coats of wax which does not really build up the wax.

I used to detail cars, so when paint was dull, there was a three step process to bring it back to life.
Dull paint is often suffering from oxidation so the first step after a very thorough wash is:
1. A good paint and body scrub. (Magwires or Mothers makes a good product). I would avoid using a rubbing compound as they can leave swirl marks that will be hard to get out.
2. A good quality Carnuba wax is ideal. ( Magwires and Mothers are good).
Finally, you need a good qualuty glaze to protect both the wax, as well as inhibit oxidation. This is the step most people skip.
Zymol makes an excellent glaze product.
Do all of the above on a cool bike out of the sun.
Take your time and do one step at a time.
Your bike will look better than showroom.
